Solar power for Taj Mahal
According to Archaeological Survey of India Official, the proposal to light up the Symbol of Love, Taj Mahal with the solar energy will soon be prepared by the authorities and sent to the Union power ministry. (...) Further, he said introduction of solar powered vehicles to carry the visitors, specially the physically challenged ones, is being considered. These solar powered vehicles can carry up to four persons in one go. Presently the battery-operated vehicles are allowed to drive around the premises of Taj Mahal and petrol-diesel vehicles have been prohibited around the monument area to make the monument free from dangers like pollution.
